We’re excited to congratulate GMVA and Luke Campbell on winning Volleyball Victoria’s 2023 Best Junior Program Award. This award shows Luke’s strong passion and dedication to Australian volleyball through the Greater Melbourne Volleyball Academy (GMVA). RollsPack is proud to support this program through our community sponsorship.

Luke’s journey began after his professional volleyball career. He represented Australia at the 2004 Athens Olympics. After retiring, he started GMVA. The academy helps young athletes grow their skills and confidence. Today, GMVA has nine squads. Each squad is designed for different ages and skill levels. Experienced coaches guide the players to reach their best.

GMVA is more than just training. It creates opportunities. One important program is the Centre of Excellence. It helps connect Australian players with scholarships in the USA. College sports in the USA offer scholarships worth millions. Many families found it hard to connect with these programs. So in 2017, Luke reached out and built contacts with hundreds of college teams. Thanks to his efforts, 68 young athletes earned scholarships in the USA and Canada. Twelve became professional players, and nine played for Australia’s national team.

Winning this award is well deserved. It shows how hard Luke works to help young athletes achieve their dreams.
