At RollsPack, we feel it’s crucial to give back to the community, and as part of that commitment we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be sponsoring the Hawks Netball Club in 2024.

We’re proud to be associated with a club that’s nurturing the next generation of netball stars and strengthening community ties. We believe in the positive impact that local sports can have on communities and the incredible opportunities they can create for young athletes. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this partnership and the community it supports.

Who are the Hawks Netball Club?

The Hawks Netball Club has competed Victorian Netball League since its establishment in 2000. Originating as Melbourne Central, the club underwent several transformations, including Monash University Central and Monash University Storm, through a partnership with Gippsland Storm Elite Netball. This collaboration provided valuable opportunities for athletes across Melbourne and Gippsland regions.

In 2018, a significant partnership with the Hawthorn Football Club marked the creation of the Hawks Netball Club. This alliance has been fundamental to the club’s growth and development in the elite netball competition in Victoria. The club continues to work closely with Gippsland Storm Elite Netball Development Club and has expanded its community by welcoming the Stonnington City Netball Association and Kingston and the Districts Netball Association.

The Hawks Netball Club has been instrumental in fostering professional netball talent, notable alumni from the club include:

Current Professional Players:
  • Jo Weston (Vixens/Australian Diamonds)
  • Matilda Garrett (Thunderbirds/Australian Diamonds)

Past Professional Players:

Coaches:
  • Kristy Keppich Birrell (Collingwood Magpies)
  • John Fletcher (Netball Tasmania Head Coach)

The club’s ongoing success is attributed to the positive and encouraging environment created by its players, coaches, officials, and committee members. They collectively work towards a common goal, fostering a culture of success and achievement. At RollsPack, we’ve always believed in the power of community and the pivotal role of local sports in fostering unity and talent, so we’ve sponsored programs like the Greater Melbourne Volleyball Association & the Monash University Netball Club. The opportunity to support the Hawks Netball Club presented itself as another amazing way to help an organization that is dedicated to supporting the dreams of young athletes.
